A single broken symbol in a config file can create a long recovery cycle if you do not have a known good version available.

Edit one area at a time, save, then verify the result. Avoid sweeping file changes unless you understand every part you are touching. Incremental work helps you identify the exact change that caused an issue.

If you are unsure what a plugin expects, read its documentation before guessing at syntax.

Remember that operators may inspect files

Because hosted infrastructure must be protected, operators may inspect or download files, plugins, and backups for support, compliance, abuse review, or security reasons. Server owners should avoid storing inappropriate or unauthorized material in hosted directories.

Good file discipline is not just about convenience. It is also part of staying inside the service rules.
